The Greatest Debate
Uvula or no uvula?
Team uvula all the way, for me. Nothing screams, "I'm not just a hole" like the teeth and the tongue, but seeing that uvula dangle down really makes a maw that much more appealing. Nothing like mUwUshing down the last of your prey with that glorious orb of shimmering flesh.

Re: The Greatest Debate
It's honestly very mixed for me!
Over the years, I would say I have shifted to more of a no-uvula preference, at least for myself. There is something about dragon throats and maws specifically where it often feels more cartoony and less like...real/natural to have one there, but it can still be done well.
I prefer playing without, but I also have friends that adore it, so I still often toy around with both variations.
A lot of mammal-y creatures seem best with one, though.

I can see that! There's just added shenanigans someone could perform with one present. I have a buddy who's staunchly against 'em for similar reasons to yours. There's just something about them drgn throats.Sight wrote: Wed Apr 02, 2025 12:17 am It's honestly very mixed for me!

As you can see from my profile pic, I do love myself a uvula, for similar reasons as you, they are a special way to tell you exactly where you are from an image. I also like scenes in micro vore where the uvula is their last hope from getting sucked down the throat right before they're swallowed.

The uvula grab is an undeniable classic!
Do also like the tease of that heavy bit of swinging flesh giving prey a whump to the face as they're entering a maw :3

Re: The Greatest Debate
I love mixed. I think if a predator works with either or, then I will enjoy both. I'm not picky with uvulas, but I do adore species who naturally are missing them like Frogs, Gators, Dragons, Bugs, Aliens, Plants, birds, really anything. If it's hot, it's hot.
