....Yes, we know you wish you could befriend...get eaten by the monsters...at least MH Stories exists for making monster friends!

Any MH players around these parts? Which game did you start with? Favorite monsters? Main weapons? Favorite game?

I started with Monster Hunter Freedom for the PSP, and have played nearly every mainline entry up until the modern day. I tend to main Sword & Shield in the older games, and Bow in World/Rise/Wilds.

Looking to get into Frontier as well, now that the Rain server exists.

I have Rise and a 3ds MH game (and am playing a fanmade MH Dating sim) but I am not a real MH fan aside from Monster Simping. Because I objectively suuuuucck! And haven't even touched Rise because my mind never went "I wanna play this". But I mean it I would be be food for probably every single monster in any game. Dragon or bird or monkey or rabbit based or whatever.

I have a lot of the mh games though the main one I can play with other people is Wilds currently. I started with world but quickly branched out with the franchise and played every generation except for 1st gen. Favorite monsters I'd always say Nargacuga has a special place in my heart but besides that I love a lot of the wilds monsters and monsters like bazl, deviljho, anja, odog and so many more! But yeah I'd definitely be happy hunt with ya at some point!

I started with World! Though I think it was sometime after Iceborne released, then ended up actually playing Iceborne a good bit later. Didn't play Rise that much unfortunately because I just couldn't get into it, though I have done a little bit of grinding over in Wilds! Been really enjoying that one, just waiting on more content to sink my teeth into really. As for weapons I've always enjoyed the Greatsword (though I do sometimes use the Hunting Horn when the mood strikes) I'm a sucker for GIANT SWORDS, and I'm really hoping later on in Wilds that we get something as cool as Wyvern Ignition was. My favorite monster is the pinecone stealth bomber, fell in love with Bazel the moment I saw it in game lmao (plus the noises it makes when you knock it over are funny). Though a close contender is Kulu-Ya-Ku for a lot of the same reasons as Bazel. I'm a simple kobold.

Some interesting favorites! Kobold with BIG sword seems amusingly fitting, though x3
I do also think that Wyvern Ignition is in the top tier of greatswords, even if I don't even use GS really!

Pfff, yeah! Fear the kobold that manages to not only just lift that massive slab of iron, but also swing it! (And then probably be lifted well off the ground during the swing). And absolutely! The idea of a greatsword thats swings are powered by a thruster at the tip is just so good lmao. I do enjoy that they brought the big swordfish back for Wilds, even if you do have to do the fishing grind to get it. One day it'll be mine.
