Gotten a serious scare

This morning while on my way to the bus stop to get to work, I follow the usual path I take every morning, and I am coming by a small downtown square by the church. There is a slight turn with an old tree on the left and a smaller one, almost a shrub basically on the right, and because it is early and still quite dark and the shrub obscures the turn ever so lightly.
As I go to take the turn, there was a lady walking their dog, a Pug and since they did not see me coming with the dog probably being distracted by some smell in the grass must have been spooked as I came into view in quite a springy step, so they tensed up from the scare and barked, and me not knowing they were there ended up getting scared aswell as they barks broke the tranquil very early morning silence.

Upon recovering from the Shock, I carried on and laughed about it.

Lol, yeah sure, I was driving my car down the sidewalk, almost crashed into the tree as the dog barked at me.
