Howdy peoples. Im completely new to internet forums, but I guess this is how I get started. Im super into roleplay of all types, and Ive debated joining places like this before to meet people, but Ive not been sure about the sort of public roleplay that Ive seen online. I think i need a guide or something. Anyhow, im here now.

Thats a good plan. Like I said, Im super into roleplay, but more specifically character roleplay. Having characters with more devolved personalities bounce off eachother and the environment around them. So Ive got a number of characters, some better built than others, and im not very sure whoI want to show off here. I might need to learn the vibe first. But for the curious, Ive got two lizards, one space, one not, a near metalic insect, a good old fashioned orc(pork), a snail, and some less developed creatures.

I see, very interesting! That's a lot of characters! So, that means it just means you've not used -forums- before, but have been other places where you've done roleplay with others? Or, is it more that you've done writing using your characters and are looking to branch out into more collaborative/interactive RP? Still, the bouncing of different personalities and how they interact with others in various situations and settings is the good stuff!

Admittedly, I am not as much one to do the more involved story-style roleplay myself, I do hope you find some nice company to play out some scenes with c: Maybe you or one of your crew'll bump into dragons, hmhm.

A little bit of both. Ive been around on some roleplaying games, and some of my characters are quite aged as a result, some others have still not found a setting to be in, and for them I am looking for something cooperative for them to exist in. Even well written characters are never really complete until you have a chance to iron them out through usage.
I will make an attempt, but the sort of roleplay I see on forums is why Ive not used them before; it seems to be more like request and fulfilment, which I can appreciate, but I find it hard to suddenly insert myself into a scene or story which is already halfway developed without consideration towards a characters goals, personality, or oddities.
But yes, meeting a dragon is a goal I think

Thinking about it, I do agree. Does mean that the skill to roleplay those various kinds of characters and personalities is very much akin to being a very good multi-role actor! Method acting to get down someone's vibe is tough work, at least to me. I've tried many times over the past decade to try and embody other personality types, but it never clicks for me, so I am more than happy to give kudos to those that have built that skill and have that passion!

As for the self-insertion, it surely depends on the story/context! If somebody here gets long-form stuff up,then it can be as easy as being picked up as a new party member in some long adventure campaign, haha!
This forum is quite new and young, though. There's not really anything cooking there yet, so you're more than free to try and drum up some interest in getting something going! I will warn that the nature of this being a vore forum means that there might be a significant amount of the users here that're just looking for such(often just short-term) scenes and not as much long-form roleplay, but that should change a bit as (hopefully) the user base grows here.

That has always been the case actually. I mean, I used to play dnd or whatever roleplaying games, but those were always game-y and never payed much attention to the characters. I actually only got to start doing real, developed roleplay when I got involved with the furry/vore community. So I am very much used to being among the minority when looking for something.
