I figured out what I am

(it is very important to note that this whole thing is out of character, IRL) for almost 2 years I've been a therian, however only recently did I actually identify that I was one, there are a lot of different kinds of therian, but I'm just only going to speak to myself, being a theory to me feels like I don't feel human, on the inside, I just don't feel the way normal humans should, and after realizing that I went down a rabbit hole to figure out what I actually am if not human, and I figured out that I am a okamimimi, a species of kemonomimi, creatures that look very human but are definitely not, the similarities to human are purely visual, and the funny thing is the only real visual difference is a set of wolf ears and a wolf tail, however underneath they are extremely different, they take after their wolf side far more than human appearance would suggest, I found that this also seems to reflect the not quite full animal identity that I've determined, in the future this might change as I realize that I'm even less human than I thought I was, but for now this is what I determined, what really didn't make sense to me is after learning that therian existed I immediately noticed something very different with me, from what I know a lot of therian feel phantom limbs, commonly ears and tails, and I started actually feeling them, a pair of phantom ears on my head, I could feel them swivel towards sound, if I rubbed my hands over where they would be a shiver ran through my spine and felt so nice, what was very peculiar is there was no phantom tail, like it just refused to form, and just a few days ago I almost felt insecure that I didn't have one like the rest of my kin, so I bought a pho tale, and when I had it and saw it moving around I immediately felt kind of whole, like a missing piece of me had been filled in, but moving back to the discovery, I hadn't at the time realized I was a therian, I had first thought I was an OC kin, because very peculiarly my character that you all likely know if you've even met me once, I mean it's literally my profile picture, happened to be a okamimimi, so at first I thought that I related to my OC more than the skin I was born in, but a little bit later I realized that's just not the case, it wasn't the OC itself that I was relating to, but the species it was, after realizing that, all the pieces just fell into place, but I was just so scared to even tell a single person, I mean, have you seen the way humans treat people who are different, so after almost a month of mustering up courage I told the one person that I trusted more than my own parents, she understood so quickly I was speechless, it is honestly kind of scary in a way, she honestly even before this knew me better than I knew myself so I don't know why it scared me that much, but I'm very glad she understood, after that many weeks later I wanted to tell someone else, so I turned to the next group of people I trusted most, the people I played D&D with on the regular, we were deep into two different campaigns, and we had even met up in person multiple times to celebrate each other's days of birth, a few days after one of these meetups at the start of one of our normal sessions I very hesitantly mustered up the courage to share with them, and before I could even finish the entire scripted statement to them they had accepted me, once again I was shocked, I had been freaking out the night before writing down the entire interaction assuming the worst and praying for the best, still though I was only thinking how I could have gone wrong, but when it actually happened, it was the complete opposite, my main concern was they wouldn't even know what a therian is, but they knew immediately, and to my utter shock, they actually seemed excited to know that I was one, my DM literally said, "it's so cool that we had been playing with a non-human this entire time and didn't even know it", and that really just told me, not everyone hates those that are different, even if to that extent, and after those interactions I mustered up the courage to speak it here, this was so much faster and I'm not going to lie about that, I mean the name of the site is enough to explain why, and the only thing I really had to muster up was knowing that I'm telling this to hundreds of different people across I don't know even know how much distance, so that's what I want to say, I'm a therian, my species is okamimimi, and I hope to be accepted, not just by the people I trust, but by everyone around me, starting with the forum that raised my confidence the most out of anywhere on the internet,
