Can’t exactly say when it was for me, but I remember that I was browsing furry art(sfw) and I found some vore art, and started to search for it and found out I liked it very much.

For me it was when I was fairly young, about fourth or fifth grade. I remember reading one of those books that have a bunch of short stories in them. Unfortunately I don't remember the name of it. The short story I read that triggered my interest in vore went something like this:

The main character was a young boy and in his neighborhood was an old house that either had an old man who lived in it or it was abandoned. I can't remember but I believe there was a rumor that the house had a dragon in it. A group of his friends, or bullies, dared him to go into the house to find it. The boy does so and after a bit does find the dragon rumored to be there. The dragon can talk and asks why the boy is there. I can't remember how the conversation goes but this is where everything clicked for me. The dragon eventually threatens to eat the boy if he doesn't leave.

I know that's not a great summary but that was like 20 years ago and I haven't read it since. When I read that, something inside me stirred. The thought of being eaten alive didn't sound like the horrible fate it should have been, it more sounded like...something comforting, or pleasant. I found it interesting, and that I wanted something like that to happen to me. For a short while I stumbled around trying to find what I could without knowing what it was called, and just using my imagination. At some point a few years later, I went to FurAffinity for the first time and saw the vore label, and clicked it out of curiosity. That's when I found the name for it, and that there were others like me. Who liked the thought of being eaten.

All that time I didn't have a fursona myself, as I never could figure out a design for one. Eventually I created a protogen for my first sona, then I commissioned a fursuit of a canine character as an artistic liberty design. That's Minzi, whom I became more fond of and made my main sona. It's only in the last two years I finally commissioned my first vore piece, with him as prey. It felt so, so good to finally see something that's me as the prey in an art piece. I've gotten a handful since then. It's filled that little void since vore can't be fulfilled irl.
