Yes that was the idea, either way the humans did not know of anthros prior, what is the question is did the anthros know of the humans before they met, it would be an interesting story if the answers had known about the humans and had been intentionally been avoiding them, or if they both met each other for the first time, then both of their worlds would be shattered, I think the latter has the effect you're describing, however the former makes more plausible sense and also would give more depth to a story, also both come with a more likely time line placing, if we place the timeline in colonial then both meeting for the first time would make a lot more sense, because humans would only have started colonizing the entire globe and would have only then finally met the anthros, however if it's pre or post world war I it would make sense that the anthros knew about humans but decided to stay hidden for their own reasons, both are plausible, both make good stories, it's just which one would be more fun to be an anthro character in, I'm wanting to make a chatbot where people can enjoy the complex beginnings of a story they might or have already played, giving essentially the Star wars prequel treatment, explaining all the plot twists and interesting interactions from the original by going back in time and showing how it began, that make any sense
